Seoul announced that “Seollem in Seoul: Outdoor Dining Edition,” the second matchmaking event under Seoulting 2.0, will take place on Friday, Oct. 23. Applications will be accepted from Wednesday, Sept. 30 through Wednesday, Oct. 14.
As part of Seoul’s efforts to revitalize the nighttime economy, a key strategy of its ninth elected administration, the event will take place at Sangbong Food Alley in Jungnang-gu, a popular outdoor dining area in northeastern Seoul selected as a “Seoul Moonlight Outdoor Dining” location on Sept. 14. Gathering around outdoor tables on a cool autumn evening over good food is expected to ease the awkwardness of a first meeting and encourage relaxed, natural conversation, making the area an ideal setting for Seoulting.
Seoul is preparing a variety of programs designed to help participants get to know one another in the relaxed atmosphere of outdoor dining, including restaurant experiences tailored to their tastes, 2-on-2 outdoor dining dates, and neighborhood walks.

Applications can be submitted from Wednesday, Sept. 30 through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14 via a Naver Form accessible through the city’s childbirth and childcare information portal (umppa.seoul.go.kr) or by scanning the QR code on the event poster.
A total of 100 participants—50 men and 50 women—will be selected. Eligible applicants are men and women aged 25–45 who are registered residents of Seoul, have never been married, and are economically active as employees, business owners, freelancers, or in other capacities.
After eligibility requirements, including residency and age, are verified, 50 men and 50 women will be selected through a random drawing. Selected participants will be notified individually on Monday, Oct. 19.

Meanwhile, the first Seoulting 2.0 event, “Seollem in Seoul: Hangang Bus Edition,” held around Ttukseom Hangang Park on Sept. 19, concluded successfully after attracting 2,370 applicants for just 100 spots, or 23.7 applicants per spot. The event resulted in 28 matched couples, for a matching rate of 56%.
In a post-event satisfaction survey, 98.9% of participants supported holding matchmaking events for unmarried men and women on a regular basis, reaffirming strong interest and demand for more opportunities to meet potential partners. In addition, 96.7% of participants said they applied because they “were interested in marriage but lacked opportunities to meet potential partners,” indicating that Seoulting is providing new opportunities for those who hope to marry.

Seoul is also preparing a range of follow-up measures, including an open group chat for participants, to help connections formed through Seoulting continue naturally beyond the event rather than ending with a one-time encounter.
